This client came to us with the question if we could make a lamp in the same shape as one of their famous product : twister fries
We used an old technique to accomplish this : steam bending solid oak
Steam bending is a technique where wood is exposed to steam to make it more pliable. Steam can soften wood fibres enough so they can be bent and stretched, when cooled they will hold their new shape. Here we have bended wood around a big tube to get this spring shape.
